In the dark crime series &#;Glaskupan&#;, criminologist Lejla returns to the town where she grew up with her police chief and foster father Valter. The two begin investigating the mysterious disappearance of a girl. The series is directed by Lisa Farzaneh and Henrik Björn, and the concept was developed by Camilla Läckberg, who is also one of the show&#;s executive producers.

Läckberg considers herself a crime writing specialist since discovering such literature on her father's bookshelf at a young age. It has remained a fascination for her ever since.[5] Läckberg's books have received special praise for detail and "in-depth characterization".[6] Läckberg – sometimes called the Swedish Agatha Christie[7] – became a writer after her husband and parents enrolled her in a creative writing course as a Christmas present. She describes herself as a visual writer: "For me actually, specific images – snapshots – come first, and then the story starts to come together from those bits and pieces. I am very visual when I write, I 'see' the story in pictures and writing a book is like having a movie running in my head 24/7."[8] Her wo

Hon fick sitt genombrott med Fjällbackaserien, som är detektivromaner med författaren Erica Falck och polisen Patrik Hedström, och som utspelar sig i eller kring hennes födelse- och uppväxtort Fjällbacka på Sveriges västkust.[2][3]

Biografi

Camilla Läckberg är uppvuxen i Fjällbacka i Bohusläns skärgård och studerade vid Handelshögskolan i Göteborg, med examen som civilekonom.[4] Hon flyttade till Stockholm och arbetade sedan på Birka Energi men var intresserad av skrivande och fick hon en skrivkurs i present av sin make.[5] Kursen, "Att skriva krim", ordnades av förlaget Ordfront och riktade sig till kvinnor som ville skriva detektivromaner.[6] Den ledde till att hon fyra år senare hade skrivit sin första roman Isprinsessan, som hon skickade till några förlag, och fick kontrakt med det lilla förlaget Warne. Hon var då föräldraledig och senare förlorade hon arbetet när Birka Energi köptes upp av Fortum. Romanen kom ut och sålde
