Mälarhöjdens IK were a Swedishfootball club located in Hägersten in the southern part of Stockholm. They merged with Hägersten SK in to become Mälarhöjden-Hägersten FF.[1]
Background
[edit]Mälarhöjdens Idrottsklubb (MIK) was formed on 20 March [2] The club currently has about 1, members divided into sections covering football, athletics, walking, hockey, orienteering, skiing and tennis.[3] The club's greatest achievements have been in athletics, particularly in middle and long distance running events in the s and s. In the club enjoyed a season in the Allsvenskan for bandy.
Since their foundation Mälarhöjdens IK has participated mainly in the middle and lower divisions of the Swedish football league system. The club currently plays in Division 4 Södra Stockholm which is the sixth tier of Swedish football.[4] They play their home matches at the Mälarhöjdens IP in Hägersten.[5]
Mälarhöjdens IK are affiliated to the Stockholms Fotbollförbund.[6]

Mälarhöjdens IK (MIK) är en svensk idrottsklubb i Mälarhöjden i Stockholm, som grundades 20 mars [1] Klubben har sektioner för friidrott, gång, fotboll, tennis, orientering, innebandy och skidsport.
Historik
Klubben har varit framstående i framför allt friidrott, i där man under och talen var en av Sveriges förnämsta löparklubbar på medel- och långdistans med såväl individuella som svenska mästerskap i stafettlöpning (4 x meter och 4 x meter. Under talet och talet har klubben inom gångsport haft framgångar och rankats som en av Sveriges bästa i sporten. I bandy spelade klubben i Sveriges högsta serie säsongen Mälarhöjdens IK har tidigare även haft sektion för till exempel skridskolöpning och i denna gren haft utövare som deltagit i Olympiska vinterspelen i Cortina d'Ampezzo i Italien.
År startade Mälarhöjdens IK har Sveriges första riktiga fotbollslag för synskadade. [2]
